Baseball Game Preview: Arlington Eagles vs. Buena Vista Bison

The Arlington Eagles will venture away from home to square off against the Buena Vista Bison at 1:00 p.m. on Saturday. The two teams have had a bumpy ride up to this point with four consecutive losses for Arlington and six for Buena Vista.

Tuesday just wasn't the day for Arlington's offense. They lost 7-0 to Douglas County West on Tuesday.

Arlington saw five different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Peyton Marfisi, who went a perfect 1-for-1 with one double.

Meanwhile, Buena Vista also failed to score in their most recent game. They came up short against Papillion-LaVista South on Thursday, falling 17-0.

Buena Vista's loss dropped their record down to 2-11. As for Arlington, they now have a losing record of 4-5.

Everything went Arlington's way against Buena Vista when the teams last played back in April of 2024, as Arlington made off with an 18-8 win. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Eagles since the squad won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
