Volleyball Recap: Virgin Valley Beats Boulder City for Their Fourth Straight Victory

Virgin Valley extended their postseason success on Tuesday against Boulder City. They sure made it a nail-biter, but they managed to escape with a 3-2 victory over the Eagles. This was a revenge game for the Bulldogs: when they faced off against the Eagles back in April, they had to take a 3-0 loss.

Reece Leavitt paced Virgin Valley's offense, picking up 15 kills. Leavitt got some help from Dallin Moeai and his 39 assists. Leavitt was also solid from the service line: he led the team with three aces.

Despite the loss, Boulder City still got an impressive performance from Easton Welbourne, who had 19 assists and three digs. Welbourne is on a roll when it comes to assists, as he's now posted 14 or more in each of the last four games he's played.

The win (which was Virgin Valley's fourth in a row) raised their record to 28-9. As for Boulder City, with the defeat, they broke their ten-game winning streak and moved their record to 30-9.
