Softball Game Preview: Organ Mountain Knights vs. Alamogordo Tigers

For the second straight game, Organ Mountain will face off against Alamogordo. The Knights will welcome the Tigers at 5:00 p.m. on Thursday. Organ Mountain is strutting in with some hitting muscle as they've averaged 7.9 runs per game this season.

Organ Mountain is coming in fresh off a high-stakes matchup with another one of New Mexico's top teams: Alamogordo, who was ranked sixth at the time (Organ Mountain was ranked 17th). The Knights fell 7-3 to the Tigers on Monday. The Knights' loss signaled the end of their four-game winning streak.

Organ Mountain saw five different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Hannah Justus, who went 1-for-3 with one triple, one run, and one RBI.

Alamogordo's victory was their first in the district, bumping their district record up to 1-3 and their overall record up to 10-5. As for Organ Mountain, their defeat was their first in the district, dropping their district record down to 3-1 and their overall record down to 9-4-1.
