Basketball Recap: Josh Taylor Key Part of a Team Effort in United Win

After losing to Durham Flight HomeSchool the last time they met, DASH decided to demonstrate that turnabout is fair play. The DASH United came out on top against the Durham Flight HomeSchool Flight by a score of 63-50 on Saturday.

DASH's success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but Josh Taylor led the charge by dropping a double-double on 15 points and 13 boards. The match was Taylor's third in a row with at least ten points. The team also got some help courtesy of Jason Judd, who went 5 for 10 en route to 21 points and eight rebounds.

DASH smashed the offensive glass and finished the game with 14 offensive boards. That's the most offensive rebounds they've posted since back in December of 2024.

DASH is on a roll lately: they've won six of their last eight games, which provided a nice bump to their 14-10 record this season. The wins came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 70.4 points per game. As for Durham Flight HomeSchool, their defeat was their fifth straight at home, which dropped their record down to 11-12.

DASH has already played their next contest (against Oak Forest), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing. Durham Flight HomeSchool will venture away from home to face off against Forsyth Home Educators at 8:00 p.m. on Monday. Forsyth Home Educators is strutting in with some offensive muscle as they've averaged 54.8 points per game this season.
