Basketball Game Preview: Union City Bears vs. Fort LeBoeuf Bison

The Union City Bears will be defending their home court for the first time this season when they go up against the Fort LeBoeuf Bison at 7:15 p.m. on Friday. The two teams are sauntering into the matchup backed by comfortable wins in their prior games.

Last Tuesday, Union City was fully in charge, breezing past Jamestown 82-18.

Meanwhile, Fort LeBoeuf put another one in the bag on Tuesday to keep their perfect season alive. They blew past North East 62-37. The Bison have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won three contests by 25 points or more this season.

Union City better focus on containing Carson Papay and Grady Matkovich as the pair were huge in Fort LeBoeuf's win. Papay posted 19 points along with six rebounds and five steals, while Matkovich made all 6 shots he took racking up 15 points and three steals. Papay has been hot recently, having posted two or more steals the last three times he's played. The team also got some help courtesy of Kc Wasiulewski, who had five points and three steals.

Union City now has a winning record of 2-1. As for Fort LeBoeuf, they pushed their record up to 4-0 with the victory, which was their fifth straight at home dating back to last season.
