Lumen Christi Catholic came out on top against Adrian  on Monday thanks in part to the team's impressive seven-run first inning. The Titans blew past the Maples 12-2. The result was nothing new for the Titans, who have now won 19 matchups by six  runs or more  so far this season.
 Ollie Powers was a  major factor while hitting and pitching. She  pitched five innings while giving up just one earned  (and one unearned) run off   two  hits. Powers was also stellar in the batter's box,  going a perfect 3-for-3 with three  runs, two  doubles,  and one  RBI. That's the most  doubles  she has posted  over her last nine  contests.
 In other batting news, Lumen Christi Catholic let  Mallory Arcaro and  Ava Cumberworth run wild. Arcaro  went a perfect 1-for-1 with one  triple, one  run,  and one  RBI, while  Cumberworth  went 1-for-2 with two  RBI and one  run. Those  two  RBI gave  Cumberworth a new career-high.  Taylor Furnas was another key player,  getting on base  in two of her three plate appearances with one  run and one  RBI.
Lumen Christi Catholic has  been performing  incredibly well recently as they've  won 13 of their last 15 games. That's provided a nice bump to their 26-9 record  this season. Those  wins came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 1.5 runs on average over those games. As for Adrian,  this is the second loss in a row for them and  nudges their season record down to 7-14.
 Lumen Christi Catholic and Adrian could both be facing uphill battles in their next games considering their disadvantage  in the MaxPreps Michigan Rankings. The Titans will  challenge  Grass Lake  at 4:00  p.m.  on Friday with a big rank  disadvantage  (135 vs. 47). Meanwhile,  Adrian (ranked 327th) will meet Bedford (ranked 52nd)  at 4:00  p.m.  on Wednesday.
