After having lost a blowout in their previous game against Crawford, Hoover was happy to have turned things around on Thursday. They came out on top against the Point Loma Pointers by a score of 3-1. For the Cardinals, this counts as revenge for the 3-2 victory the Pointers walked away with the last time they faced one another back in April of 2024.

Hoover's win was their first in the league, bumping their league record up to 1-3 and their overall record up to 11-12. As for Point Loma, they are on a nine-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 2-18.

Coming up, Hoover will face off against Christian at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Point Loma, they didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next game, a 2-0 loss against Otay Ranch on the 25th.
