The Aurora Central Trojans are taking a road trip to take on the Thompson Valley Eagles at 1:00 p.m. on Saturday. Aurora Central will be looking to extend their current four-game winning streak.
Aurora Central will bounce into Saturday's matchup after beating Skyview, who they had gone 0-9 against in their nine prior meetings. The Trojans secured a 36-32 W over the Wolverines on Friday.

Jamaea Johnson-Gonzalez was her usual excellent self, dropping a double-double with ten points and 19 rebounds. She is also on a roll when it comes to steals, as she's now grabbed two or more in each of the last eight games she's played. Tay Phillips was another key player, putting up nine points and five steals.
Aurora Central smashed the offensive glass and finished the game with 19 offensive rebounds. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now pulled down at least ten offensive boards in five consecutive games.
Thompson Valley has been a dominant force so far, but they're in the middle of a mini-slump at the moment. The contest between the Eagles and Roosevelt didn't end well, with the Eagles falling 67-52.
Aurora Central will need to focus on slowing down Penny Gilbert, one of several Thompson Valley players who made an impact when they last played. She posted 12 points. The team also got some help courtesy of Hayden Ramberg, who put up ten points.
Aurora Central's record is now 16-6. As for Thompson Valley, their defeat dropped their record down to 18-5.
Rebounding is likely to be a big factor in this contest: Aurora Central has been smashing the glass this season, having averaged 31.1 boards per game. However, it's not like Thompson Valley struggles in that department as they've been averaging 26.1 rebounds. With both teams battling to corral missed shots, we'll see if one team can grab an edge.
Aurora Central was taken down by Thompson Valley 72-12 in their previous meeting back in December of 2017. Thankfully for the Trojans, Sydnee Durtsche (who dropped a double-double with 12 points and 14 boards) won't be suiting up this time. Will that be enough to change the final result?
