Basketball Recap: Maxwell Takes a Loss

Maxwell was the 57-46 winner over Maywood/Hayes Center when they last played one another back in January, but their luck changed this time around. The Maxwell Wildcats took a 58-45 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Maywood/Hayes Center Wolves on Friday.

Maxwell has been struggling recently as they've lost three of their last four matches, which put a noticeable dent in their 5-13 record this season. As for Maywood/Hayes Center, the win made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 11-7.

Maxwell will head out on the road to square off against Perkins County at 8:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Perkins County will roll in looking for their fourth straight victory, something Maxwell surely won't give up without a fight. As for Maywood/Hayes Center, they will be playing at home against Mullen at 6:30 p.m. on Monday. Maywood/Hayes Center is facing Mullen at the right time seeing as Mullen is stuck on a four-game losing streak.
