Softball Recap: Ledyard Colonels vs. Woodstock Academy Centaurs
Ledyard never let their opponents score on Tuesday. They walked away with a 5-0 victory over the Woodstock Academy Centaurs. The Colonels haven't had any issues with the Centaurs recently, as the game was their fourth consecutive win against them.
Not much got past Alexia Lemmon, who gave up just five hits to keep Woodstock Academy off the board. Lemmon has been nothing but reliable on the mound: she hasn't given up more than two walks in 11 consecutive appearances.
On the hitting side, Faith Dalton was incredible, going 2-for-3 with two runs, one stolen base, and one double. She has been hot, having posted at least one stolen base the last five times she's played. Alana Ninteau also deserves some recognition as she hit her first double of the season.
Ledyard hit smart and finished the game with only two strikeouts. The team has now struck out at least three batters in four consecutive matchups.
