Roosevelt posted their closest victory since December 13, 2025 on Friday. They had just enough and edged out the Pierre T.F. Riggs Governors 62-60. The win continues a trend for the Rough Riders in their matchups with the Governors: they've now won three in a row.

Despite the defeat, Pierre T.F. Riggs saw an underclassman step up: sophomore Jerren Deal shot 56% from the field en route to 23 points and five assists. As a matter of fact, that's the most points Deal has scored all season. The team also got some help courtesy of Caiden Ahartz, who went 5-for-10 to rack up 14 points.

Roosevelt's victory bumped their record up to 17-4. As for Pierre T.F. Riggs, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 6-13.

Roosevelt does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Pierre T.F. Riggs, they didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next game, a 74-45 loss against Watertown on the 28th.
