Football Recap: Ben Copeland's Big Game Can't Quite Lead Antlers over Valliant + How To Watch

Antlers lost against Valliant back in September of 2024 and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Friday. The Bearcats took a 28-15 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Bulldogs. The Bearcats have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Several Bearcats players turned in solid performances despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Ben Copeland, who rushed for 115 yards and one touchdown, and also threw for 84 yards and one TD. Copeland's rushing production has been exceptional recently as that marked his third straight game with at least 115 rushing yards.

Antlers' defeat dropped their record down to 1-3. As for Valliant, their victory was their fifth straight at home dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 4-0.

Coming up, Antlers will host Vian at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. As for Valliant, they will take on Spiro at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Valliant will be up against Spiro's rather soft defense (which has allowed 53.75 points per contest), so fans could be in store for a big offensive performance.
