Softball Recap: Desert Christian Comes Up Short

Desert Christian was not able to break out of their rough patch on Wednesday as the team picked up their fourth straight loss dating back to last season. They fell 12-9 to the Marana Tigers.

Cali Smith and Aimee Lloyd did some serious damage despite the final result: Smith scored two runs while going 2-for-2, while Lloyd went 1-for-3 with two runs, one triple, and two RBI. Lucy Richter was another key player, scoring a run while getting on base in all three of her plate appearances.

Desert Christian's defeat dropped their record down to 0-3. As for Marana, the victory (which was their third in a row) raised their record to 3-0.

Desert Christian didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next match, a 12-0 loss against Cienega on the 27th. As for Marana, they have also already played their next contest, a 10-2 win against Willcox on the 27th.
