Softball Recap: Wabasso Picks Up Fifth Consecutive Win

Wabasso hadn't done well against Edgerton/Southwest Minnesota Christian recently (they were 1-7 in their previous eight matchups), but they didn't let the past get in their way on Tuesday. The Rabbits put the hurt on the Flying Dutchmen with a sharp 8-2 win. The Rabbits might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won three matchups by six runs or more this season.

The victory was the fifth in a row for Wabasso, bringing their record up to 5-1. The wins came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 2.4 runs on average over those games. As for Edgerton/Southwest Minnesota Christian, their loss dropped their record down to 2-2.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Wabasso will welcome Gibbon-Fairfax-Winthrop at 5:00 p.m. on Monday. The Rabbits are facing the Thunderbirds at the right time seeing as the Thunderbirds are stuck on a four-game losing streak. As for Edgerton/Southwest Minnesota Christian, they will square off against Murray County Central at 4:30 p.m. on Monday.
