Moundridge skates past Garden Plain with ease

Recap: Moundridge Wildcats vs. Garden Plain Owls

The Moundridge Wildcats scored the most points they've had all season to find success on Thursday. They blew past Garden Plain, posting a 66-34 victory on the road. With that win, Moundridge brought their scoring average up to 51.2 points per game.

Leading Moundridge to victory were Addy Patrick and Cammi Unruh. Patrick scored 21 points along with three steals, while Unruh scored 18 points along with four steals. Those 21 points set a new season-high mark for her. Another player making a difference was Macy Kaminkow, who scored 11 points along with six rebounds.

Moundridge has been performing well recently as they've won three of their last four matches, which provided a nice bump to their 4-2 record this season. As for Garden Plain, they now have a losing record at 2-3.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Moundridge will have some time to savor their win since their next game is a little ways off: they'll take on Oxford at 6:00 p.m. on January 2, 2024. Oxford will have to bring their A-game into this one, as they are staring down a pretty big deficit in the MaxPreps Kansas Rankings (they are ranked 311th, while Moundridge is ranked 83rd). As for Garden Plain, they will head out on the road to face off against Andale at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
