Basketball Recap: Fountain Valley's Winning Streak Snapped at Seven Games

After flying high against Florence last Tuesday, Fountain Valley came back down to earth. The Fountain Valley Danes fell to the Cedaredge Bruins 46-41. The contest marked the Danes' lowest-scoring game so far this season.

Fountain Valley's loss came despite a true team effort with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Jaden Lopez-Hardy, who went 7-for-16 to rack up 17 points and seven rebounds. The match was Lopez-Hardy's ninth in a row with at least 15 points. Another player making a difference was Nick Prantl, who posted seven points in addition to ten boards and six assists.

Rylan Brooks was the offensive standout of the contest as he earned 19 points. Brady Cooper was another key player, putting up seven points.

Fountain Valley moved to 11-6 with that defeat, which also ended their seven-game winning streak. They've dominated over that stretch too, winning by an average of 26.9 points. As for Cedaredge, the victory snapped their losing streak at five games and leaves them with a 6-15 record.

Fountain Valley wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next game, a 66-54 win against North Fork on the 1st. As for Cedaredge, they also didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next matchup, a 73-41 loss against Peyton on the 1st.
