Recap: Palisades Pumas vs. Lab University Prep Lab Rats
On Friday, Palisades suffered a tough 77-54 loss at the hands of Lab University Prep. While losing is never fun, Palisades can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' North Carolina basketball rankings (they are ranked 161st, while Lab University Prep is ranked 16th).
Despite the defeat, Palisades saw an underclassman step up: Kingston Henry scored 14 points. Another player making a difference was Chris Jackson, who scored 11 points along with five rebounds.
Lab University Prep had a senior duo take command as Juwann Argant scored 18 points and Christian Aukuso dropped a double-double on 12 points and ten rebounds. Argant also grabbed two steals for the first time this season. The team also got some help courtesy of Blake Moss, who scored six points.
Palisades' defeat dropped their record down to 8-6. As for Lab University Prep, the victory makes it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 9-5.
Palisades will be staying on the road on Friday to face off against Olympic at 7:30 p.m. on January 5, 2024. As for Lab University Prep, they will look to defend their home court on Tuesday against Varsity Opponent at 5:00 p.m.
