Basketball Recap: KIPP College Prep Snags Fourth Victory in Last Five Games

KIPP College Prep won the last time they faced Thurgood Marshall Academy, and Kaden Butler did his part to make sure it happened again. The KIPP College Prep Panthers strolled past the Thurgood Marshall Academy Warriors with points to spare on Thursday, taking the game 61-45 thanks in part to Butler, who posted 30 points. That's the most points he has posted since back in December of 2023.

KIPP College Prep is on a roll lately: they've won four of their last five contests, which provided a massive bump to their 9-6 record this season. Those victories came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 55.8 points per game. As for Thurgood Marshall Academy, they are on a 20-game losing streak (dating back to last season) that has dropped them down to 0-5.

KIPP College Prep will take on Paul Public Charter International at 7:15 p.m. on Tuesday. That game will pit two of the most dominant guards against one another: Kamrin Milam and Butler. As for Thurgood Marshall Academy, they will challenge Friendship Collegiate Academy at 7:15 p.m. on Tuesday. Friendship Collegiate Academy knows how to get points on the board -- the squad has finished with 55 points or more in their past three matches -- so hopefully Thurgood Marshall Academy likes a good challenge.
