Soccer Game Preview: Widefield vs. Rampart

The Widefield Gladiators will venture away from home to take on the Rampart Rams at 4:00 p.m. on Saturday. Widefield's offense has struggled lately (the team hasn't scored more than a single goal for three straight games), a trend the team is no doubt ready to end.

Widefield came into their game on Tuesday off a hard-fought close win, but unfortunately suffered a serious change of fortune. They came up short against Lutheran, falling 10-0.

For some reason, the away team has come away with the win the last four times Rampart and Air Academy have met, but the home crowd finally got their W on Tuesday. The Rams fell just short of the Kadets by a score of 1-0. That's two games in a row now that Rampart have lost by just one goal.

Rampart's defeat dropped their record down to 3-3-1. As for Widefield, their loss dropped their record down to 4-4.
