Baseball Game Preview: False River Gators vs. Plaquemine Green Devils

The False River Gators will head out on the road to square off against the Plaquemine Green Devils at 4:00 p.m. on Tuesday.

False River lost 17-5 to St. John on Saturday. The Gators haven't had much luck with the Eagles recently, as the team has come up short the last four times they've met.

False River saw four different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Josh Ramagos, who went 1-for-2 with one stolen base and two RBI. Another was Preston Guiliory, who scored a run and stole a base while going 2-for-2.

Even though they lost, False River always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .517. That's the best OBP they've posted all season.

Meanwhile, Plaquemine was able to grind out a solid victory over Northwest on Saturday, taking the game 8-4.

Plaquemine's win bumped their record up to 4-5. As for False River, their defeat dropped their record down to 0-3-1.

Everything went False River's way against Plaquemine when the teams last played back in March of 2018, as False River made off with an 11-1 victory. The rematch might be a little tougher for False River since the team won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
