Softball Recap: Hanover Find Success

After losing to Patrick Henry the last time they met, Hanover decided to demonstrate that turnabout is fair play. The Hawks came out on top against the Patriots by a score of 5-2 on Friday.

Mallory Smithson spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: she surrendered just two earned runs on eight hits.

At the plate, the team relied heavily on Kaileigh Byars, who went 3-for-4 with two stolen bases, two runs, and two doubles. Another player making a difference was Haley Barden, who went 1-for-3 with two stolen bases, one triple, and one run.
