Volleyball Game Preview: Taft Wildcats vs. McFarland Cougars

The Taft Wildcats will face off against the McFarland Cougars at 6:15 p.m. on Monday. Considering both teams were shutout in their prior games, the pair is probably coming into this one with something to prove.

Taft came up short against Shafter on Tuesday, falling 3-0. The Wildcats haven't had much luck with the Generals recently, as the team has come up short the last four times they've met.

Taft was held off the scoreboard, but that almost wasn't the case: they kept the second set very close. The match finished with set scores of 25-19, 25-22, 25-11.

Meanwhile, McFarland lost 3-0 to Shafter on Thursday.

Taft's defeat dropped their record down to 9-19. As for McFarland, their loss dropped their record down to 3-26-1.

Taft was able to grind out a solid win over McFarland in their previous meeting back in September, winning 3-1. Will the Wildcats repeat their success, or do the Cougars have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
