Basketball Recap: Jourdanton Has No Trouble Against Cotulla

After having lost a blowout in their previous game against Natalia, Jourdanton was happy to have turned things around on Friday. Everything went their way against the Cotulla Cowboys as the Jourdanton Indians/Squaws made off with a 57-34 victory. The Indians/Squaws have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won eight contests by 23 points or more this season.

Jourdanton's win ended a three-game drought on the road and puts them at 14-10. As for Cotulla, they have traveled a rocky road recently having lost nine of their last ten matchups, which put a noticeable dent in their 8-13 record this season.

Jourdanton will square off against Dilley at 7:15 p.m. on Tuesday. Jourdanton is facing Dilley at the right time seeing as Dilley is stuck on an 18-game losing streak. As for Cotulla, they will challenge Hondo at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Hondo knows how to get points on the board -- the squad has finished with 55 points or more in their past seven games -- so hopefully Cotulla likes a good challenge.
