Baseball Recap: Sequatchie County Takes a Loss

Sequatchie County suffered their closest defeat since April 18, 2024 on Friday. They fell just short of the Shelbyville Central Golden Eagles by a score of 3-1. The Indians haven't had much luck with the Golden Eagles recently, as the team has come up short the last three times they've met.

Sequatchie County's loss dropped their record down to 7-7. As for Shelbyville Central, they are on a roll lately: they've won six of their last seven matches. That's provided a nice bump to their 12-5 record this season.

Sequatchie County will be playing at home against Warren County at 12:00 p.m. on Saturday. The Indians are facing the Pioneers & Lady Pioneers at the right time seeing as the Pioneers & Lady Pioneers are stuck on a four-game losing streak. As for Shelbyville Central, they wasted no time getting back out on the field and have already played their next game, a 13-3 win against Whitwell on the 4th.
