Basketball Recap: Mulvane Comes Up Short

Mulvane was the 45-22 winner over Rose Hill when they last played one another back in February of 2022, but their luck changed this time around. The Mulvane Wildcats took a 48-42 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Rose Hill Rockets. The Wildcats have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Rose Hill can attribute much of their success to Ella M Swearingen, who went 5 for 9 on her way to 14 points. The dominant performance gave M Swearingen a new career-high in points. Bridget Mohr was another key player, putting up nine points and three steals.

Mulvane's defeat dropped their record down to 6-4. As for Rose Hill, their victory ended an eight-game drought at home dating back to last season and bumped them up to 2-6.

Mulvane will get a bit of extra time to process the loss as their next game is a ways off. They'll take on Wellington on February 4th. Wellington will roll in looking for their tenth straight win, something Mulvane surely won't give up without a fight. Rose Hill has already played their next contest (against Collegiate), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing.
