Recap: Wayne Badgers vs. Bryce Valley Mustangs
The Wayne Badgers can now show off seven landslide victories after their most recent game on Thursday. They really took it to Bryce Valley for the full four quarters, racking up a 76-45 victory on the road. For those keeping track at home, that's the biggest win Wayne has posted since December 16, 2023.
It was another big night for Ryker Peterson, who went 7 for 10 from beyond the arc en route to 31 points and 3 assists. As a matter of fact, that's the most points he has scored all season. Another player making a difference was Jake Batty, who scored nine points along with eight rebounds and three blocks.
The victory was the third in a row for Wayne, bringing their record for this year to 11-8. Those victories were due in large part to their offensive dominance across that stretch, as they averaged 65.0 points per game. As for Bryce Valley, they have not been sharp recently, as they've lost ten of their last 12 contests, which put a noticeable dent in their 4-12 record this season.
Wayne will look to defend their home court on Wednesday against Milford at 7:00 p.m. Hopefully Milford focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up 17 on Thursday. As for Bryce Valley, they will head out on the road to challenge Green River at 4:00 p.m. on Saturday. Green River knows how to get points on the board -- the team has finished with flashy point totals in its past ten games -- so hopefully Bryce Valley likes a good challenge.
