Basketball Recap: Rector Piles Up the Points Against Piggott

Rector's game on Thursday was a loss, but they didn't let that memory haunt them on Monday. They blew past the Piggott Mohawks 54-27. The Cougars have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won seven contests by 22 points or more this season.

Rylee Wilburn continued her habit of posting crazy stat lines, shooting 62% from the field on her way to 26 points and six rebounds. The last time her field goal percentage was this high was back in December of 2025. Another player making a difference was Cearra Machon, who posted ten points along with six boards and five steals.

Rector was working as a unit and finished the game with 11 assists. They are 12-3 when they've passed the ball that well.

Rector has been performing well recently as they've won three of their last four matchups. That's provided a massive bump to their 12-10 record this season. As for Piggott, the defeat snapped their winning streak at five games and leaves them with a 9-6 record.
