With a playoff game on the line, Jay County rose to the challenge on Friday. They simply couldn't be stopped as they easily beat the Bellmont Braves 42-7. Considering the Patriots have won three contests by more than 34 points this season, Friday's blowout was nothing new.

Jay County's success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but Sean Bailey led the charge by rushing for 93 yards and two touchdowns on only 12 carries, while also throwing for 111 yards on seven of 11 attempts. Bailey got the majority of those rushing yards when he took off on a run that went for an incredible 60 yards. Another back making a difference was Leighton Brown, who rushed for 86 yards and a touchdown on only 12 carries.

Jay County was unstoppable on the ground and finished the game with 271 rushing yards. That's the most rushing yards they've posted since back in September of 2023.

One reason for the win was Jay County's imposing defense, which managed to get into the backfield for seven sacks. The heavy lifting was done by Rhysin Blowers and Issac Dues, who racked up four sacks between them.
