Perry had to skate by with only a two-run margin when they last took the field, which might have inspired the 21-run drubbing they dealt Hamady on Saturday. The Ramblers were the clear victors by a 21-0 margin over the Hawks. The Ramblers might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won 12 contests by six runs or more this season.

Wyatt Patrick made a big impact while hitting and pitching. He looked comfortable on the mound, tossing two innings while giving up no earned runs or hits. He also tossed no walks, which is notable because Perry is undefeated when he allows at most one walk, but 12-13-1 otherwise. Patrick was also solid in the batter's box, going 1-for-2 with two RBI, one run, and one double.

In other batting news, Perry got a massive performance out of Johnny McConnell, who went a perfect 2-for-2 with two stolen bases, three runs, and two RBI. That's the most stolen bases McConnell has posted since back in April. Another player making a difference was Trevin Kucish, who went a perfect 2-for-2 with three runs, one triple, and two RBI.

Perry always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .679. That's the best OBP they've posted all season.

The win was the fourth in a row for Perry, bringing their record up to 19-13-1. The victories came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 0.8 runs on average over those games. As for Hamady, they dropped their record down to 1-6 with the defeat, which was their seventh straight on the road dating back to last season.

Coming up, Perry will take on New Lothrop at 2:00 p.m. on Saturday. The Ramblers' pitchers better be ready for this one: the Hornets have averaged an impressive 6.6 runs per game this season. Hamady does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
