Softball Recap: Nederland Wins Going Away Against Lee

Nederland won the last time they faced Lee and things went their way on Tuesday too. The Bulldogs blew past the Ganders 13-1. Considering the Bulldogs have won 11 matchups by more than eight runs this season, Tuesday's blowout was nothing new.

Grace Seigrist and Kaylee Baker made a big impact while hitting and pitching. On the mound, Seigrist tossed three innings while giving up no earned runs off one hit. Meanwhile, Baker tossed three innings while giving up just one earned run but no hits. Seigrist has been consistent recently: she hasn't given up more than one hit in three consecutive appearances. At bat, Seigrist went 2-for-3 with one home run, two RBI, and one double, while Baker went 1-for-3 with one home run and two runs.

In other batting news, Addison Gillard was incredible, going a perfect 2-for-2 with two runs, one triple, and two RBI. That's the most RBI she has posted since back in February. Another player making a difference was Emmy Chambless, who went 2-for-3 with two runs and one triple.

Nederland always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .559. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Lee only posted an OBP of .391.

Nederland's record is now 15-5. As for Lee, they are on a ten-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 1-12-1.

Nederland has already played their next game, a 5-1 victory against West Brook on the 4th. As for Lee, they also didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next contest, a 10-0 defeat against Barbers Hill on the 4th.
