Baseball Recap: Central Islip Takes a Loss

Central Islip was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their 26th straight loss dating back to last season. They lost 19-3 to the William Floyd Colonials. The Musketeers were not able to make up for their defeat to the Colonials from their previous meeting back in April of 2024.

Central Islip saw four different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Joslan Hernandez, who went 2-for-3 with one run. Jesus Brito also deserves some recognition as he got his first hit of the season.

Central Islip's loss dropped their record down to 0-18. As for William Floyd, they pushed their record up to 8-8 with the win, which was their fourth straight on the road.

While Central Islip had to take the loss, they won't have to wait long to give it another shot: the pair's next game is a rematch scheduled at 4:00 p.m. on Thursday.
