Volleyball Game Preview: Burbank Bulldogs vs. Canyon Cowboys

Burbank hasn't had much luck against Canyon recently, but that could start to change on Monday. The Bulldogs will challenge the Cowboys at 4:45 p.m. Both teams took a loss in their last game, so they'll have plenty of motivation to get the 'W'.

Burbank is headed into Monday's matchup looking for a big change in momentum after dropping their ninth straight game on Thursday. They took a 3-1 hit to the loss column at the hands of Glendale.

The match finished with set scores of 25-16, 24-26, 25-15, 25-23.

Meanwhile, Canyon didn't have quite enough to beat Upland on Saturday and fell 2-1. While the Cowboys didn't get the win, they did start the game off strong, beating the Highlanders/Scots 25-21 in the first set.

Canyon started the match hot and won the first set, but they struggled down the stretch and lost the last two. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 21-25, 25-21, 15-8.

This is the second loss in a row for Canyon and nudges their season record down to 21-7. As for Burbank, their loss dropped their record down to 3-9.

Burbank might still be hurting after the 3-0 defeat they got from Canyon in their previous meeting back in March of 2024. Can the Bulldogs avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
