Softball Recap: Saint Francis Victorious

It's playoff time, and Saint Francis had no trouble coming through when it counted. They came out on top against the Salinas Cowboys by a score of 6-1 on Wednesday. The Lancers haven't had any issues with the Cowboys recently, as the game was their third consecutive win against them.

Ava Bulanti spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: she surrendered only one earned run on seven hits and racked up nine Ks. She has been nothing but reliable: she hasn't given up more than two walks in four consecutive appearances.

On the hitting side, the team relied heavily on Hayden Hummel, who went 1-for-3 with one home run. The team also got some help courtesy of Jaime Oakland, who went 1-for-2 with one run and one RBI.

Saint Francis' victory bumped their record up to 27-3. As for Salinas, their loss dropped their record down to 18-8.

As of now, neither Saint Francis nor the Cowboys have any future games scheduled.
