Baseball Recap: Bloomington Beats Peoria Notre Dame for Their Third Straight Win

Bloomington extended their winning streak to three on Thursday, bumping their season record up to 11-6 in the process. They came within a single run of losing the streak, but they secured a 5-4 W against the Peoria Notre Dame Irish. That's the second time they've managed to beat them this season, as they also won 4-3 on April 7th.

As for Peoria Notre Dame, they now have a losing record of 8-9. That's two games in a row now that they have lost by just one run.

For Peoria Notre Dame's part, they got a good showing from Anthony LeFante, who pitched 3.2 innings while giving up just one earned (and one unearned) run off three hits. LeFante has been consistent recently: he hasn't given up more than one earned run in four consecutive appearances.

On the hitting side, Mason Kenny was cooking despite his team's loss, going 2-for-4 with two doubles and two RBI.
