Basketball Recap: Starmont Takes a Loss

Starmont was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their 16th straight loss. They were outmatched by the Springville Orioles and fell 87-13. While losing is never fun, the Stars can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Iowa basketball rankings (they are ranked 317th, while the Orioles are ranked 74th).

Starmont's defeat dropped their record down to 1-16. As for Springville, they have been performing incredibly well recently as they've won six of their last seven games, which provided a nice bump to their 13-4 record this season.

Starmont will be playing at home against Anamosa at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday. Starmont is facing Anamosa at the right time seeing as Anamosa is stuck on a three-game losing streak. Springville has already played their next match (against Alburnett), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing.
