Basketball Game Preview: George Stevens Academy Eagles vs. Orono Riots

The George Stevens Academy Eagles will head out on the road to take on the Orono Riots at 1:30 p.m. on Saturday. Both come into the game bolstered by wins in their previous matches.

George Stevens Academy took a loss when they played away from home on Tuesday, but their home fans gave them all the motivation they needed on Thursday. They snuck past Narraguagus with a 45-40 win.

Meanwhile, Orono didn't have too much trouble with Piscataquis on Thursday as they won 46-28. That looming 46-28 mark stands out as the most commanding margin for the Riots yet this season.

George Stevens Academy's victory bumped their record up to 7-5. As for Orono, their win ended a seven-game drought at home dating back to last season and bumped them up to 3-11.

George Stevens Academy strolled past Orono in their previous meeting last Tuesday by a score of 40-25. The rematch might be a little tougher for George Stevens Academy since the team won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
