Basketball Recap: Hoquiam Takes a Loss

Hoquiam lost against Montesano back in February of 2024 and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Tuesday. The Hoquiam Grizzlies took a 51-38 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Montesano Bulldogs. The Grizzlies have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Hoquiam's loss dropped their record down to 6-6. As for Montesano, they pushed their record up to 8-4 with the victory, which was their fourth straight on the road.

Hoquiam and Montesano should be looking forward to their upcoming games as both have a sizable advantage in the MaxPreps Washington Rankings. Hoquiam (ranked 123rd) will meet Tenino (ranked 293rd) at 6:45 p.m. on Thursday. Meanwhile, Montesano will take on Rochester at 6:45 p.m. on Thursday up 225 places (88 vs. 313).
