Basketball Game Preview: Wahoo Warriors vs. Malcolm Clippers

The Wahoo Warriors will take on the Malcolm Clippers at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Both are sauntering into the matchup backed by comfortable wins in their prior games.

If Wahoo beats Malcolm with 39 points on Tuesday, it's going to be the squad's new lucky number: they've won their past two contests with that exact score. Wahoo put the hurt on Nebraska City with a sharp 39-17 victory on Saturday. Winning may never get old, but the Warriors sure are getting used to it with their third in a row.

Wahoo's success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but Erin Golladay led the charge by putting up nine points and three steals. Golladay has been hot recently, having posted two or more steals the last three times she's played. Gretchen Seagren was another key player, posting eight points along with ten rebounds and four blocks.

Meanwhile, there's no place like home for Malcolm, who bounced back after a loss on the road on Saturday. They simply couldn't be stopped on Monday as they easily beat Louisville 56-25. The Clippers have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won seven matchups by 20 points or more this season.

Wahoo has also been performing incredibly well recently as they've won eight of their last nine games, which provided a nice bump to their 11-7 record this season. Those victories came thanks to their defensive effort, having only surrendered 25.9 points per game. As for Malcolm, they now have a winning record of 10-9.

Wahoo was able to grind out a solid win over Malcolm when the teams last played on Thursday, winning 39-31. Does Wahoo have another victory up their sleeve, or will Malcolm turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
