Soccer Recap: Homer Falls Short Against Ranked Soldotna

Homer faced Soldotna in a battle between two of the state's top teams on Tuesday. The Mariners fell just short of the Stars by a score of 2-1. Homer just can't catch a break and have now endured three defeats in a row.

Homer's loss dropped their record down to 2-5. As for Soldotna, the win got them back to even at 3-3.

Soldotna wasted no time getting back out on the pitch and has already played their next contest, a 1-0 defeat against Kenai Central on the 3rd. Hopefully Homer paid attention to the Stars' matchup: the next time they hit the field, they'll take on the Stars at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
