Soccer Game Preview: Crescent City vs. New Smyrna Beach

The Crescent City Raiders will be playing at home against the New Smyrna Beach Barracudas at 7:20 p.m. on Thursday.

Crescent City fell victim to Menendez and their airtight defense on Tuesday. They took a 2-0 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Falcons.

Meanwhile, New Smyrna Beach hasn't lost a match yet, a trend which continued in their latest game on Thursday. They walked away with a 3-1 victory over St. Joseph Academy. Given the Barracudas' advantage in MaxPreps' Florida soccer rankings (they are ranked 22nd, while the Flashes are ranked 110th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

New Smyrna Beach has been performing incredibly well recently as they've won four of their last five games, which provided a nice bump to their 5-0-2 record this season. As for Crescent City, they now have a losing record at 6-7.
