Softball Recap: Hagerstown Snags Tenth Win in Last 11 Games

Hagerstown got themselves on the board against Cambridge City Lincoln on Monday, but Cambridge City Lincoln never followed suit. They were the clear victors by an 11-0 margin over the Golden Eagles. The result was nothing new for the Tigers, who have now won 13 matchups by six runs or more so far this season.

Hagerstown got a big performance out of Mackenzee Johnson, who went 2-for-3 with two stolen bases and three runs. Jerycha Allred was another key player, going a perfect 2-for-2 with two stolen bases, one run, and one RBI.

They weren't the only ones making solid contact: Hagerstown kept the outfield on their toes and finished the game with 12 hits. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now got at least eight hits every time they've taken the field this season.

Hagerstown has been performing incredibly well recently as they've won ten of their last 11 games. That's provided a nice bump to their 16-2 record this season. Those victories came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 0.8 runs on average over those games. As for Cambridge City Lincoln, their loss dropped their record down to 4-11.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Hagerstown will take on Anderson at 5:30 p.m. on Tuesday. The Tigers are facing the Indians at the right time seeing as the Indians are stuck on a five-game losing streak. As for Cambridge City Lincoln, they will head out to take on Centerville at 5:00 p.m. on Wednesday.
