Basketball Recap: Ava Pine-Isaksen's Big Game Can't Quite Lead Raymond/South Bend over Mossyrock

Raymond/South Bend has been a dominant force so far, but they're in the middle of a mini-slump at the moment. They fell 43-36 to the Mossyrock Vikings on Thursday. The Ravens were not able to repeat the success they had when they faced the Vikings earlier this season, when they won 52-41.

Several Ravens players turned in solid performances despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Ava Pine-Isaksen, who posted four points in addition to eight rebounds and three steals. The dominant performance also gave Pine-Isaksen a new career-high in blocks (two). Ava Baugher was another key player, dropping a double-double with 11 points and 12 boards.

Raymond/South Bend's loss dropped their record down to 14-7. As for Mossyrock, they are on a roll lately: they've won four of their last five contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 12-11 record this season.
