Volleyball Recap: Owensville Triumphs

Owensville lost to Licking back in September of 2024, but they didn't allow them the same satisfaction on Saturday. The Dutchmen came out on top against the Wildcats by a score of 2-0.

Owensville easily took the first set, but they let things get interesting in the other. The match finished with set scores of 25-14, 25-17.

Lilly Sample paced Owensville's offense, picking up four kills. Sample got some help from Carly Copeland and her six assists. Mya Vandegriffe and Reece Hampton kept things locked in from the service line: the pair finished with two aces apiece.

Owensville's victory bumped their record up to 2-3. As for Licking, they are on a five-game losing streak (dating back to last season) that has dropped them down to 0-4.

Owensville didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next contest, a 3-0 win against Belle on the 9th. Licking has also already played their next game (against Mountain Grove), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing.
