Volleyball Recap: Wheatmore Comes Up Short + How To Watch

Wheatmore lost against Uwharrie Charter Academy back in October of 2024, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Monday. The Warriors lost 3-0 to the Eagles. The Warriors have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

The final score came out to 25-15, 25-12, 25-12.

Alexis Holifield paced Wheatmore's offense, picking up six kills. Holifield got some help from Lanie McMahan and her eight assists. Holifield was also solid from the service line: she led the team with three aces.

Wheatmore now has a losing record of 2-3. As for Uwharrie Charter Academy, the victory made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 6-3.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Wheatmore will welcome Chatham Central at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday. As for Uwharrie Charter Academy, they will square off against Richmond Senior at 6:00 p.m. on Wednesday.
