Slinger lost to Menomonee Falls back in May of 2023, but they didn't allow them the same satisfaction on Saturday. The Owls came out on top against the Phoenix by a score of 5-2. The victory made it back-to-back wins for the Owls.

Brayden Zimmerman spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: he surrendered two runs (both of which were unearned) on three hits and racked up 11 Ks.

On the hitting side, the team relied heavily on Grady Chvosta, who went 2-for-4 with two doubles, one stolen base, and two RBI. That's the most RBI he has posted since back in May of 2025. The team also got some help courtesy of Payton Tennies, who went 2-for-3 with two runs and one stolen base.

Slinger's victory bumped their record up to 2-0. As for Menomonee Falls, their loss was their first of the season and makes their record 4-1.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Slinger will welcome Hartford at 4:45 p.m. on Monday. The contest will give the Owls their first taste of in-conference action this season. As for Menomonee Falls, they will host Brookfield East at 4:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
