Basketball Recap: Jeff Davis Comes Up Short

Jeff Davis was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their sixth straight defeat. They had to suffer through a 53-18 loss at the hands of the Brantley County Herons. While losing is never fun, the Yellowjackets can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Georgia basketball rankings (they are ranked 385th, while the Herons are ranked 153rd).

Jeff Davis' loss dropped their record down to 6-11. As for Brantley County, they have been performing incredibly well recently as they've won nine of their last ten games, which provided a nice bump to their 14-5 record this season.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Jeff Davis will welcome Thomasville at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. As for Brantley County, they will square off against Berrien at 6:00 p.m. on Friday.
