Two teams were on the hunt for playoff glory, but only Lincoln walked away with it. They had just enough and edged out the Chiles Timberwolves 4-3. The win was familiar territory for the Trojans, who have now won nine contests in a row.

Lincoln saw six different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Nate Dietz, who got on base in three of his four plate appearances with one RBI.

Lincoln pushed their record up to 22-9 with the victory, which was their seventh straight at home. Those home wins came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 1.7 runs on average over those games. As for Chiles, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 17-14.

Looking ahead, Lincoln will head out to challenge Niceville at 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday. The Eagles will roll in looking for their ninth straight victory, something the Trojans surely won't give up without a fight. Chiles does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
