Baseball Recap: Canfield Extends Home Winning Streak to Five

While Canfield put up some runs on Saturday, the same can't be said for Struthers. The Cardinals blew past the Wildcats 10-0. Considering the Cardinals have won four games by more than five runs this season, Saturday's blowout was nothing new.

Ryan Weibling was excellent, going 1-for-2 with two stolen bases and two runs. Those two stolen bases gave him a new career-high. Gage Watson also deserves some recognition as he scored his first run of the season.

Canfield's victory was their fifth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 9-4. The home wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 8.2 runs over those games. As for Struthers, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 5-10.

Canfield wasted no time getting back out on the field and has already played their next contest, a 9-7 defeat against Howland on the 28th. As for Struthers, they have also already played their next match, a 12-4 victory against East on the 28th.
