Basketball Recap: Eli Miller and Zach Miller Secure Win for Eastern Shore Homeschool

Eastern Shore HomeSchool won the last time they faced Calvary Christian Academy and things went their way on Thursday too. The Eastern Shore HomeSchool Mavericks walked away with a 59-47 win over the Calvary Christian Academy LIONS. The victory made it back-to-back wins for the Mavericks.

Leading Eastern Shore HomeSchool to victory were Zach Miller and Eli Miller. Zach went 12-for-22 to rack up 29 points in addition to seven rebounds and six assists, while Eli dropped a double-double with 16 points and ten boards. Zach's evening made it three games in a row in which he has scored at least 15 points. Another player making a difference was Joseph Wilhelm, who posted seven points.

Calvary Christian Academy's loss came despite strong showings from Xavier Young and Paul Hensley (HS). Young went 7-for-12 en route to 14 points and eight boards, while Hensley (HS) went 6-for-12 on his way to 12 points along with six rebounds and three blocks. Thanks to that strong game, Young now owns an excellent 46% shooting accuracy. Sean Sensenig (HS) was another key player, putting up six points in addition to seven assists and five rebounds.

Eastern Shore HomeSchool's record is now 13-4. As for Calvary Christian Academy, their defeat dropped their record down to 10-9.

Looking ahead, Eastern Shore HomeSchool will venture away from home to take on Northern Virginia HomeSchool at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Calvary Christian Academy, they didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next match, a 67-33 victory against Holly Grove Christian on the 14th.
