Basketball Game Preview: Mount Tabor Spartans vs. R.J. Reynolds Demons + How To Watch

The Mount Tabor Spartans will hit the road for the first time this season to challenge the R.J. Reynolds Demons at 6:00 p.m. on Friday.

Mount Tabor is headed into the game out to prove that what happened against West Forsyth on Tuesday (when they were outscored in every quarter) was just a minor bump in the road. The Spartans lost 45-24 to the Titans. For those keeping track at home, that's the biggest loss the Spartans have suffered against the Titans since January 17, 2023.

Meanwhile, R.J. Reynolds earned a 46-37 victory over North Forsyth on Tuesday. The Demons haven't had any issues with the Vikings recently, as the game was their fourth consecutive win against them.

The victory got R.J. Reynolds back to even at 3-3. As for Mount Tabor, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 1-3.

Mount Tabor was able to grind out a solid win over R.J. Reynolds in their previous meeting last Tuesday, winning 57-50. One of the biggest obstacles the team faced in that game was the Demons' Jane Welch, who dropped a double-double with 16 points and 13 boards.
